Mrs Azizah Attard

Azizah Attard is a specialist mental health pharmacist with over 20 years of clinical experience in the UK. She has held senior leadership roles in secondary and tertiary care, contributing to national healthcare initiatives and serving on expert panels for the National Psychosis Unit and National Affective Disorder Unit. Her expertise in evidence-based psychopharmacology has led her to develop new services, lead large pharmacy teams, and drive quality improvement within major healthcare organisations.

Azizah provides expert assessment and treatment interventions across primary and secondary care, offering specialist insights into medication-related side effects, treatment-resistant schizophrenia and depression, and the optimal use of psychostimulant medication, antipsychotics, antidepressants, and mood stabilisers. In addition to her clinical career, she is a certified CBC ADHD coach, integrating her extensive medical knowledge with a compassionate, evidence-based coaching approach to support individuals in managing ADHD effectively.

I've found Berkeley Psychiatrists and, in particular, Azizah Attard friendly, very easy to deal with and responsive to my needs. I'd highly recommend Berkeley Psychiatrists if you're considering private assessment and treatments. Thank you Azizah!

I have my prescription and review meetings with Mrs Azizah Attard who is quite frankly one of the kindest medical professionals I have ever met. She is so so knowledgeable about ADHD medication and its side effects, she gives really helpful practical advice about lifestyle changes you can make alongside medication and you can see how knowledgeable she is about the condition and it’s treatment. She works with me whilst we find the dose that works for me and is my biggest supporter through the process, she will always check how I am feeling and has a very caring approach. She does all she can to make the process as affordable and painless as possible and I know if I ever need help I can email her and she will get back to me quickly.

I have had medication follow ups with Azizah Attard on two occasion and both times I have felt listened to and understood with any observations or concerns I have had. Azizah is very knowledgeable and I have found her understanding around the effects of hormones on symptoms and medication effects very helpful and reassuring.

Azizah has been absolutely brilliant and I feel so grateful to have had someone with so much empathy and compassion to listen and understand all the issues and concerns I had during my titration period for medication to treat my newly diagnosed Adult ADHD. I have truly valued her experience and expertise on the real life impact neurodivergent people suffer from in the current world and society we live in today. She was so friendly and warm and actively listened to everything and anything I had to say. My life has changed so much and for the first time in my life I feel I’m actually and finally living! And it makes a huge difference when you have someone so experienced in the field that you feel so seen, heard and most importantly, cared for.
