Suzanne is a qualified Mental Health Nurse and Non-Medical Prescriber. She graduated with a BSc Hons Degree in Mental Health Nursing in 2014 and has been prescribing since 2022. Suzie is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and her PIN number is 14B1184E. She keeps up to date with current UK NICE guidelines to ensure patients receive correct education, safe titration, and appropriate medication choices for treating various mental health conditions, including ADHD.

Suzanne has worked within Mental Health for 15 years in both primary and secondary care. Her roles have included Senior Nurse in a Crisis Home Treatment Team, Senior Nurse responsible for setting up a new service within a hospital A&E department, and Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN), managing a caseload of mental health patients in the community. Suzie is an exceptional assessor of mental health, risk assessment, and care planning. She also has experience working within forensic mental health settings, including prisons and secure hospital environments, conducting Mental Health Act Assessments, as well as specialising in Perinatal Mental Health within secondary care and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in primary care.

Suzanne has developed a keen interest in, and passion for, ADHD over the past four years while working in primary care. She completes ADHD and ASD screening with patients in this role, advises patients on appropriate ADHD and ASD referral pathways and assessments, and provides signposting and guidance on self-help resources and self-care. Suzie has completed training with The UK Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN), which provides support, education, research, and training for mental health professionals working with adults with ADHD. Through UKAAN, Suzie is qualified in “Diagnosis and Assessment of Adults with ADHD” and “Pharmacological Treatment of Adults with ADHD”.

With her extensive background in mental health, Suzanne has a deep understanding of other mental health conditions that may be linked to ADHD or require separate treatment. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals diagnosed with ADHD later in life, exploring how ADHD affects females, and promoting ADHD education for friends, family, and employers.
